About Us

We create play based learning environments that allow children to learn through discovery and experimentation. Our highly trained staff oversee children’s play to encourage inquiry and secure children’s safety at all times.

Our mission is to foster a love of learning in your little ones, through creative lesson plans and prompts.

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”

Note From Our Director:

Dear TLN Parents,

It is hard to believe that October is over and we are ready to move into the Holiday season at The Learning Nest!  October brought a lot of excitement and fun to the school.  For me, the highlight of the month was the Trunk-or-Treat family event.  Seeing all the families come together and enjoy a night on the lawn of the church made our hearts so full.  Trunk-or-Treat could not have happened without all the help and support from all of you.  We especially want to thank the committee of parents that put in lots of time and effort to help make the event so successful.

Just a few of the fun activities to the classrooms during the month of October included: firefighter visits, pumpkin science experiments, picture day, Halloween parade, Halloween read aloud/acting by the teachers, Kids in Motion with a special visit from Wanda the Witch, and People and Places with a visit from Rude Rodney!  What a wonderful month of non-stop fun!

In November we will focus on giving thanks for all of our blessings at home and at school. We will begin the month, on November 6th at 9:10am, with a special Family Chapel that will be led by Pastor Fran (Pastor Jamie’s dad!). Family Chapel will be followed by a Coffee Hour for the adults.  All are invited and welcome to join us. We will end the month with each class celebrating Thanksgiving with a special “feast” that will emphasize friendship with the whole school contributing to the feasts.

At The Learning Nest, we have so many things to be thankful for this holiday season.  Every single day the teachers and administration are thankful for the students, their families, and all who have supported us in this inaugural school year.  We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!  (We will not be having school on November 27, 28, 29 in order to give the teachers and students time to celebrate Thanksgiving!)

With a grateful heart,

Kelly Braun, Director of The Learning Nest
